We’re halfway through shooting Series 1 of my MMA Training Series for Versus and so far it’s been an incredible experience.  In Series 1 I take you through the the 4 phases of mixed martial arts which include: Standing, Top Position, Bottom Position & Conditioning.  From each phase I explain of series of moves and transitions all to improve your mma game.  The Versus crew has been great and has led me through the filming process.  I’ll keep everyone posted on the release of the videos.

Before I start filming my MMA training series for the Versus Network I’m setting up sponsorship and advertising opportunities for companies interested. A former Neshaminy wrestler is fighting his way up the ladder.

FEASTERVILLE – One of the aims of Mixed Martial Arts competition is making an opponent reach the breaking point.

Boxing trainer Pedro Rivera observed a high pain threshold in Levittown-based MMA fighter Erik Purcell the first time he saw him.

“He’s the type of person,” says Rivera, “that even if someone’s trying to break his arm off, he’ll let them break it off before he’ll give up.”

Had an unbelievable day filming with the Versus network. The day started with a run then the crew and I met at Extreme Fitness. There we did an on-camera interview and filmed a normal training session with the legend himself Martin Mcloughlin then it was off to Tenth Round Boxing Gym. We actually had cameras attached to us during sparring. I can’t wait to see the footage we got. Between the great mitt work from my coach Pedro Rivera and all of the sparring I’m sure everything turned out great. The Versus crew plans on doing more filming in addition to recording my upcoming fight for the XCC. I hope to see all of you there with me at the fight. Thanks to my great sponsors and of course Versus for being a part of my training camp.

I was contacted by the television network Versus to become their latest featured MMA Fighter in their hunt for local talent.
